The VoIP Engineer is responsible for providing high-level technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VoIP and networking solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of VoIP technologies, networking, and programming. The ideal candidate will contribute to infrastructure-related discussions and long-term strategic goals, ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our services.Key Responsibilities:•Maintain and troubleshoot VoIP systems (SIP, PBX, call routing)•Ensure high call quality and system uptime•Solid experience with VoIP tech (e.g., Asterisk, FreePBX, Cisco)•Support day-to-day voice operations and network performance•Perform network cable pulls, install network drops, and troubleshoot basic network, wireless, and fiber connectivity issues;•Collaborate with the network team to resolve network, wireless, and VOIP-related issues;•Assist the Help Desk team in resolving trouble tickets with end-to-end solutions;•Maintain and support tributary equipment;•Install and support wireless access points (WAPs);•Perform other duties as needed to support operations;•Dealing with all technical escalations be it with clients, suppliers, interconnect partners, internal parties and service providers;•Handling the support and troubleshooting of technical issues that cannot be resolved by members of the technical team.
Qualifications:•1-3 years of hands-on experience with VOIP Call Manager;•1-3 years of experience with network and wireless equipment;•Proficiency in network cable pulls, installing network drops, and fiber connectivity troubleshooting;•Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy;•Ability to develop and implement standardized processes and workflows;•Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and solutions;•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with co-workers, vendors, and stakeholders.
