Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Toy Designer to join our growing design team. The ideal candidate will help us develop a variety of toy concepts — from plush and plastic figures to character-based collections — as well as design packaging and product presentation.
This position is part-time or project-based, with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Create concept sketches, 3D renderings, or visual prototypes for plush, plastic, and character toys
- Develop innovative toy designs that align with brand direction and market trends
- Design toy packaging and related graphics for retail presentation
- Collaborate closely with our internal production and marketing teams
- Communicate effectively with overseas manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or prior experience in the toy industry or related creative fields
- Strong artistic and conceptual design skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or 3D modeling tools)
- Good understanding of North American toy market trends and a strong sense of market sensitivity
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- A portfolio showcasing your design creativity and past work is required
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, skills, and project scope.
