Job Summary

Pella Engraving is looking for a self motivated and well organized individual with an eye for detail and design. The primary responsibility of the typesetter/graphic designer is to work with customers and other team members to layout functional and effective plaque designs in a timely manner. The typesetter will be responsible the beginning stages of plaque production with new and creative challenges day to day. With the chance to learn other rolls in the company this job offers a variety of work for a driven individual.

Responsibilities

Create eye-catching layouts for plaques that will be produced for customers all around the country.
Collaborate with customers and our team to develop innovative branding strategies and visual concepts.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, to produce high-quality graphics and illustrations.
Conduct photo manipulation and photography tasks that will be incorporated in our variety of plaque products.
Understand and apply the materials and production process for our plaque division.
Remain well organized in periods of fast turnaround times.

Experience

Associates or bachelors degree in a like field is required.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential.
Understanding of typography, layout design, color theory, and production design principles.
Demonstrated skills in branding and presentation abilities are highly desirable.
Previous experience in sign manufacturing or print advertising is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Must have excellent verbal and written communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
